The Water Rippler – Solar is an off-grid water circulation solution designed for stock tanks located where electrical service is unavailable or impractical. By using solar-supported power, this system keeps water moving throughout the year to support healthier livestock watering conditions in both cold and warm seasons.
The unit is constructed from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), providing dependable resistance to weather exposure, UV damage, cracking, and moisture. Its compact design allows it to sit securely inside most stock tanks without restricting animal access.
This model operates using a 12V DC, 50-watt pump and connects to a customer-supplied 12-volt battery and solar panel system. A 6-foot power lead and 15-foot solar adapter cord with ¼″ ring terminals are included to simplify connection to an existing solar setup. Continuous circulation helps reduce ice thickness during freezing conditions and discourage algae growth and mosquito hatchings during warmer months, making it suitable for year-round use.
To support consistent performance, each unit includes a pump-mounted intake filter that helps limit debris from entering the pump or discharge ports. Multiple outlet caps are included to allow circulation patterns to be adjusted based on tank size and desired water movement.

When operated on solar power, run time and performance depend entirely on the capacity and condition of the customer-supplied solar system. The Water Rippler requires a steady 12V DC power source for reliable operation.
Solar effectiveness may vary due to:
- Shorter daylight hours during winter
- Cloud cover, snow, or prolonged storms
- Geographic location and seasonal sun angle
- Solar panel placement, tilt, and shading
- Battery capacity, age, and charge retention
If the solar system is undersized or inconsistent, operating time may be reduced—particularly overnight or during extended cold periods. Customers unfamiliar with solar system sizing should consult a qualified solar professional prior to purchase.
