Water Rippler Dual Power - Stock Tank Circulation System
Product Details
Brand: Water Rippler
Part Number: WRDual
Length:: 12 inches
Width:: 12 Inches

The Water Rippler – Dual Power is a flexible stock tank water circulation system designed for livestock operations that require both standard electric power and off-grid capability. This model allows users to switch between plug-in electric operation and solar/battery power depending on location, season, or power availability.

Manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the Water Rippler is built for long-term outdoor exposure and resists cracking, UV degradation, and moisture damage. Its compact footprint allows it to sit securely inside most stock tanks without interfering with animal access.

For electric use, the Dual Power model includes a 12V DC, 50-watt pump, a 6-foot power cord, and an outdoor-rated AC-to-DC converter for connection to a standard 120V outlet. A GFCI-protected outlet is strongly recommended.

When grid power is not available, the unit can also operate using solar power. A 15-foot solar adapter cord with ¼″ ring terminals is included, allowing connection to a customer-supplied 12-volt battery and solar panel system. This dual-input design makes the Water Rippler suitable for barns, pastures, and remote watering locations throughout the year.

To protect the pump and maintain performance, each unit is equipped with a debris-filter mounted directly to the pump intake. Multiple outlet caps are included to adjust water flow patterns, providing either wide surface movement or more controlled circulation for smaller tanks.

Product Dimensions:
12″ × 12″ (includes mounted pump)

⚠️ Dual Power Solar Use – Important Information

When operated on solar power, system performance depends on the capacity and condition of the customer-supplied battery and solar panels. The Water Rippler requires a consistent 12V DC power source to operate continuously.

Solar output and run time may vary due to:

  • Reduced daylight hours in winter
  • Cloud cover, snow, or severe weather
  • Geographic location
  • Panel orientation and shading
  • Battery size, age, and charge retention

If the solar system is undersized, run time may be limited—especially during extended cold or overnight conditions. Customers unfamiliar with solar system design should consult a qualified solar professional prior to purchase.

  • Electric + Solar Flexibility: Designed to operate on standard household power or a solar/battery system, depending on site conditions
  • Continuous Water Circulation: Maintains constant water movement to help manage seasonal freezing and stagnant water
  • Ice Thickness Reduction: Circulation helps keep ice thinner and easier to break, though freezing is not fully prevented in extreme cold
  • Seasonal Water Quality Support: Moving water helps limit algae buildup and disrupt mosquito breeding during warm weather
  • Low Power Consumption: Uses a 12V DC pump rated at approximately 50 watts
  • Weather-Resistant Housing: HDPE construction resists UV exposure, moisture, and cracking
  • Adjustable Flow Control: Includes multiple outlet caps to fine-tune circulation patterns based on tank size
  • Pump Protection System: Integrated intake filter reduces debris-related wear and clogging
  • Compact, Tank-Friendly Design: Fits most stock tanks without restricting livestock access
