Description

The adjust screw that locks a float arm to the valve on Smidley waterers. Heavy duty poly, and the small piece that decides whether your water level stays where you put it.

A six inch float arm takes two of these, so order a pair when you are refitting an arm.

Specifications

  • Part number: Smidley valve adjust screw
  • Material: heavy duty poly
  • Quantity needed: two per six inch float arm
  • Sold as: one screw
  • Fits: Smidley float and valve systems

Common questions

Why two screws?
That is what the six inch arm is built to take. The pair clamps the arm against the valve so the position you set is the position it keeps.

Do I need new screws every time?
Not necessarily, but they are the cheapest piece in the assembly, so most people put fresh ones on while the arm is off rather than refitting the old ones.

Will poly hold against brass and steel?
That is what the heavy duty poly is for. It grips the arm without biting into it, and poly does not corrode sitting in the valve chamber.

What else is in the float and valve?
The six inch float arm, the poly float and the fountain valve, or all four as the complete new style 915FVF assembly.

Buying one screw or two?

Each listing here is a single screw, and a six inch arm needs two. Add two to the cart, or ask us if you are not sure how many your arm takes.
