Description
Description
The new style 915FVF float and valve for the Smidley #3 and #5 fountains, supplied complete. It is the whole working end of the waterer in one package: the valve, the float, the six inch float arm and the two adjust screws that hold your water level where you set it.
Smidley fountains were built over a long run and the float and valve came in two styles. This is the new style. If your fountain takes the earlier pattern, the old style 915FVF float and valve is the one to order.

Common questions
Old style or new style, how do I tell?
Take the old assembly out and compare it against the photos on both listings. The valve body and the way the arm meets it are the giveaway. If you would rather not guess, send us a message with a photo and your fountain number and we will tell you which one you have.
Can I set the water level?
Yes. The two adjust screws clamp the arm against the valve wherever you position it, so the level is set by hand and then held.
Do I need the whole assembly?
Only if more than one piece is involved. The float, the arm, the screws and the valve are all stocked separately and linked above.
I am on high pressure, is this the right valve?
This is the standard pressure fountain valve. For a high pressure line, look at the Smidley high pressure valve with hood, part 100927 instead, or ask us and we will check your line pressure against it.
Not sure which style your fountain takes?
Send us a message with your fountain number and a photo of the old float and valve. We will match the style for you before you order, which beats sending the wrong one back.
