Miraco lists part 186 as the valve small parts box. It is the repair kit for the blue 521B valve — several parts and components in one box, enough to rebuild the working internals rather than buy a whole new valve.

Both orifices are in the box, and the sizes matter
This is what sets the 186 apart. Miraco’s own parts list gives 509 as the 3/8 in. low pressure orifice and 583 as the 3/16 in. high pressure orifice, and both are in this kit. So one box covers a blue valve whether it is fed off a low pressure line or a high pressure one — you fit the orifice that matches your water instead of ordering a different part. Nobody else publishes those two sizes, and they are the quickest way to tell at a glance which orifice is already in your valve.
Blue or grey? Check the body before you order. This kit is for the blue 521B. A grey valve is the 521 and takes the 189 instead. The two do not substitute. If you are unsure, our blue versus grey guide walks through it, and if the only marking you can find is a phone number moulded into the cap, that page explains what you are looking at.
A note on the part numbers. Miraco suffixes several of these by valve colour — you will see 677B, 678B, 679B and 681B on the blue and the same numbers with a G on the grey. If you are cross-referencing an old invoice, the letter is telling you the colour, not a different part.
Repair or replace? The kit is the inexpensive route when the valve body is sound and the internals have had their day. If the body is cracked or the threads are gone, the complete valve is the blue 521B.
