Description

The Skellerup Thriver is the next generation calf teat supplied with Pink Feeders equipment. It is molded from a soft, naturally antibacterial rubber and cut with a subtle concave profile, so it holds its seal against the calf and resists the slow dribbling that wastes milk and wets bedding. The pull through style seats on its own flange with no adapter and no threading, which is the quickest way to fit out a feeder or refresh a barrel that has been in service a few seasons.

A one way valve inside the teat keeps milk moving toward the calf and lifts out for deep cleaning. The rubber carries a vanilla scent that helps young calves latch on sooner, and the cut sends milk to the roof and floor of the mouth instead of spraying it to the back of the throat. A flat base and a chamfered back edge let it sit low against the inside wall, so it works in narrow moat feeders where a taller teat fouls the trough.

Features

  • Pull through style, seats on its own flange with no adapter
  • Fits teat openings of roughly 3/4 to 7/8 inch (20 to 21.5 mm)
  • Soft naturally antibacterial rubber
  • Removable one way valve lifts out for deep cleaning
  • Vanilla scented to encourage calves to latch on
  • Concave cut resists dribbling and milk loss
  • Flat base and chamfered back edge suit narrow moat feeders

Which style do I need

Pull through teats push through a plain hole and hold on their own flange. Threaded teats screw into a threaded seat or onto a bottle cap ring. If your feeder has a plain 3/4 to 7/8 inch hole, the pull through is the one you want.
