Description

Ritchie replacement Elliptical closure for Thrifty King units, now in yellow!

The Elliptical closure is designed to help maintain warmer water temperatures inside the trough during the winter. During the warmer months, the closures help to prevent water loss due to evaporation while keeping the water cooler and cleaner.

TIP: Position the Elliptical closures approximately 1/2" to 1" below the red rim. This allows water to wash off the side and not pool and freeze during the winter. This also creates movement assisting with the prevention of freezing.

What Ritchie calls this part. Ritchie’s own parts listing gives 16305 as: Elliptical Closures. That wording is worth knowing, because it is how the part appears on the unit breakdown you are working from.

The unit breakdowns linked below are our own, and every waterer listed there is one we have recorded as calling for the 16305.

Exactly what was expected. Shipping was quick. Only thing is I wish these were a smidge cheaper because with shipping for 2, it was a little bit more than I'd hoped to have spent.
