Hoskins 3/8 in. GP valve assembly
This is the RM 153, the complete 3/8 in. valve and float assembly that Hoskins fits to the horse units, every H9 hog trough and the hog side of the CH combination waterers. It comes built up as one piece rather than as a valve, a rod and a float to put together.
No float rod on these models
The RM 153 is a self-contained valve and float. The units it goes in do not use a separate float rod at all, which is why you will not find a rod length on their spec plates. If your unit lists a rod length, you want a Bob valve instead, not this.

The four CH units carry two valves, this one for the hog side and a 1/2 in. Bob valve on an 8 in. rod for the cattle side.
While the cover is off
The valve sits in its own insulated compartment behind the service door. With the cover already off it is worth checking the drain stopper at the same time, and these models all take the 1 1/2 in. rubber stopper.
