Description
The Big PETE #4 waters 240 head and carries a 500 watt element, the largest heat in the Big PETE line below the #6.
Petersen pours these in 5,000 PSI black painted concrete reinforced with 3/8 inch welded rebar cages, with a reinforced concrete bowl for extra strength where the hogs work it. Insulation runs from 3/4 inch styrofoam up to 2 inches of extruded polystyrene. The weight means no bolting down, the bowls self flush through large brass drains, and the edges are smooth and rounded so there is nothing for a hog to catch on and less to work around when you clean it.
Heat is 500 watt, or you can run it Free-Flo with a thermostatically controlled adjustable trickle valve that keeps the water moving rather than heating it. A no heat version is available on request. Hook up for the pipeline and the electric runs through the non siphon tube.
