1. Check the gaskets

2. Inspect the valve and floats
The valve and float mechanism control water flow, so it is essential to check these parts for proper operation. Make sure the float is adjusted to maintain the correct water level, keeping the ball closures about 1/2 inch below the rim. Test the valve for leaks and ensure it opens and closes smoothly. 3. Ensure proper drainage
One of the issues not often thought about during winter is water freezing around the drain hole area.
