Description
The Little PETE #2 is the small concrete hog waterer, 120 head off a unit that sits only 8 1/2 inches tall. Concrete is the point here: a hog cannot move it, chew it or root it out of place.
Petersen pours these in 5,000 PSI black painted concrete reinforced with 3/8 inch welded rebar cages, with a reinforced concrete bowl for extra strength where the hogs work it. Insulation runs from 3/4 inch styrofoam up to 2 inches of extruded polystyrene. The weight means no bolting down, the bowls self flush through large brass drains, and the edges are smooth and rounded so there is nothing for a hog to catch on and less to work around when you clean it.
Heat is 350 watt, or you can run it Free-Flo with a thermostatically controlled adjustable trickle valve that keeps the water moving rather than heating it. A no heat version is available on request. Hook up for the pipeline and the electric runs through the non siphon tube.

The Little PETE 2 is poured concrete over welded rebar, which is what it takes in a hog pen. Hogs root, lean and chew, and a poly unit does not last. This one waters 120 hogs off .
