A case of eight 6 lb bags of Bluelite Swine Formula, 48 lb of electrolyte, which is how a barn that weans groups on a schedule buys it.
Bluelite is a palatable, buffered electrolyte and water acidifier that mixes into the drinking water. Pigs drink it willingly, and in field trials pigs dehydrated from diarrhea or coming off weaning put shrunk weight back on faster than pigs on plain water.
Keep the case on hand for weaning, sorting and shipping days, when the pigs that need water most are the ones least interested in the waterer. It works on pigs of any age and costs pennies a day.
