Description
The 9150154 is the four drink hog bar, with a trough on each side and two drink spaces per side, so pens on both sides of a fence water off one unit and one water line.
The body is 100 percent 304 stainless steel in a heavy 14 gauge, with heavier 12 gauge drink lids. There is no paint to chip and no galvanizing to wear through, so nothing at the water line gives out. Thick styrofoam insulation rated at a 2.7 R factor runs through the body, and electric heat with a self regulating thermostat comes standard from the factory, so the element is only topping up the heat the insulation already holds.
The drink lids are what keep a Smidley from going black. Feed and bedding stay out, the pigs push the lid open to drink, and the water underneath stays clean. The top cover lifts off by gravity when it is time to wash it out, so that job is a bucket and a few minutes rather than a job with a wrench.
Four drink spaces, 32 inches wide by 10 3/4 inches high by 26 3/4 inches long, 110 pounds. Built by Smidley in Britt, Iowa.
