Description
The 9150142 is the two drink bar with a trough on each side, so a pen on both sides of the fence drinks off one unit, one water line and one element.
The body is 100 percent 304 stainless steel in a heavy 14 gauge, with heavier 12 gauge drink lids. There is no paint to chip and no galvanizing to wear through, so nothing at the water line gives out. Thick styrofoam insulation rated at a 2.7 R factor runs through the body, and electric heat with a self regulating thermostat comes standard from the factory, so the element is only topping up the heat the insulation already holds.
The drink lids are what keep a Smidley from going black. Feed and bedding stay out, the pigs push the lid open to drink, and the water underneath stays clean. The top cover lifts off by gravity when it is time to wash it out, so that job is a bucket and a few minutes rather than a job with a wrench.
Two drink spaces, one per side, 32 inches wide by 10 3/4 inches high by 16 5/8 inches long, 75 pounds. Built by Smidley in Britt, Iowa.
