Description
The Little Giant 7 gallon plastic poultry waterer from Miller Manufacturing, model PPF7, the largest of the three sizes in this line. Seven gallons is enough to carry a good sized flock through a hot day without a second trip out to the coop.
The jug fills through a wide mouth opening, snaps onto the base and feeds the trough on its own through a vacuum sealing O-ring cap. Jug and base are both molded from durable polyethylene, and the semi opaque jug lets you read the water level without lifting the lid. A handle on top makes it easier to move, though at seven gallons a full jug is heavy, so most people fill it where it sits. The wide mouth is the real advantage at this size, since it leaves room to reach in and clean it out properly.
