Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for shipping
These founts are built at the factory as they are ordered, so plan on two to three weeks from the time the order goes in.
Use one of these and you will not buy another double wall galvanized fount. The 4GF is the top fill Dura-Fount, built for sanitation: a seamless poly tank with no soldered seams anywhere for pathogens to hide, and a trough that lifts off the tank so you can actually clean both.
The 4.5 inch opening is wide enough to fill fast and wide enough to get your hand and a brush inside the tank, which is the part a narrow neck fount never lets you do. Two built in handles mean you can carry it full rather than filling it in place.
The tank is marked in one gallon increments, so medicating is a matter of reading the side rather than measuring into a bucket first. Four gallons covers 75 pullets or 150 chicks.
For cold weather the trough fits the AEB automatic electric base.
Four Gallons You Can Actually Clean
A seamless poly tank with a 4.5 inch opening, a trough that lifts off, and two handles so you can carry it full. Four gallons covers 75 pullets or 150 chicks, and the tank is marked in gallons so medicating is reading a line rather than measuring into a bucket.

Brower 4GF Questions
How many birds will the 4GF water
How many birds will the 4GF water
Four gallons covers 75 pullets or 150 chicks. For a brooder full of chicks it is usually the right size, since you want to be dumping and refilling often at that age anyway.
Why top fill instead of a jar fount
Why top fill instead of a jar fount
Because you can clean it. The 4.5 inch opening lets your hand and a brush inside the tank, and the trough lifts off so you can do both separately. A sealed jar fount you can only rinse and hope.
Can I carry it full
Can I carry it full
Yes, two built in handles. Fill it at the hydrant and carry it in rather than dragging a hose to the coop.
How do I medicate with it
How do I medicate with it
The tank is marked in one gallon increments down the side. Read the mark and dose to it, no measuring into a bucket first.
Will it rust
Will it rust
No. It is seamless poly, which is the whole point of the Dura-Fount. Use one of these and you will not buy another double wall galvanized fount.
Will it freeze
Will it freeze
On its own, yes. The trough fits the AEB automatic electric fount base, 100 watts at 115 volts, which keeps it open into the single digits in a sheltered area. It is not built for the open yard with a wind chill on it.
What parts can I replace
What parts can I replace
The red base, poly cap, cup insert, fount closure and both o-ring sizes, all stocked here and all shared with the 7GF.
Should I get the 4GF or the 7GF
Should I get the 4GF or the 7GF
Four gallons at 16 inches tall suits 75 pullets or 150 chicks. Seven gallons at 21 5/8 inches suits 90 hens, 140 pullets or 140 broilers. Same diameter, same trough, same parts, so it is purely a question of how often you want to be filling it.
