Description
The Miraco 399 is the valve on its own for the underground shut off kit. It is a stop and waste valve, which means it does two jobs, it shuts the water off and it drains the line back toward the source.
That draining part is what makes it worth having. A line that is shut off but still full of water will still freeze and split. Draining it back means you can take a waterer out of service in the fall, or shut one off in the middle of winter, without worrying about what is sitting in the pipe.
