Description
The Lixit chicken feeder and waterer, 64 ounces, which is half a gallon. The base is reversible and that is the whole idea. Unscrew the jar, flip the base over and screw it back on, and the same unit goes from a feeder to a waterer. Buy two and you can run one of each, or buy one and switch it as you need.
As a feeder it holds roughly 3 pounds of feed and takes mash, pellets or crumble. As a waterer it gravity feeds the trough and keeps the level steady as the birds drink. The jar is wide mouthed, which makes both filling and scrubbing it out easy, and it is clear with a green chicken silhouette printed on it so you can see what is left at a glance.
Weather resistant plastic, made in the USA, sized for a small flock. One tip from people who use it as a feeder, keep it somewhere dry. Damp feed does not drop through as freely.
