Description

The three gallon pan is the big one, seventeen and a half inches across and four and a half deep. It is the pan for a horse that bolts its feed, or for putting enough down that a small group is not shoving each other off it.

It is molded from DuraFlex corded rubber, which is the whole reason to buy rubber over hard plastic. Crush proof, crack proof and freeze proof, so it lives outside year round and comes through a January cold snap without splitting. It flexes instead of shattering when it gets stepped on or kicked across the lot, and rubber is soft and quiet against a nose, which matters with horses, sheep, goats, alpacas and llamas.

For outdoor use, setting the pan down inside a spare 15 inch tire keeps it from being dragged around the lot. The tire is not included.
