The High Country Plastics Hay Play Slow Feeder is a 15 inch ball that holds hay and lets your horse work for it. Hay comes out a little at a time as the ball rolls, so one feeding stretches out over a much longer part of the day instead of being cleaned up in twenty minutes.

Slowing the meal down does two jobs at once. It keeps the gut working the way a grazing horse is built to eat, and it gives a bored horse something to do. Horses on stall rest, horses in a small paddock, and horses that stand and wait at the gate all tend to settle when they have something to push around.

The shell is heavy wall poly, so it stands up to hooves, teeth, sun and cold, and it is safe to use indoors or out. The round shape rolls easily, but it does not run away from the horse on a slope the way a flat sided feeder will. The cap threads on and off, so filling and cleaning is quick, and a replacement cap is available if the original goes missing.
