Description
The Farm Innovators FB-120 is a five gallon heated bucket with a flat back, and that flat back is the whole point. It sits tight against a stall wall or a fence panel instead of swinging, so a horse cannot bat it around. It holds a full five gallons, 24 quarts.
The heating element is built into the wall of the bucket where no animal can get at it, and a thermostat switches it on near 35 degrees and back off near 60 degrees, so it is only drawing power when the water is actually in danger of freezing. The cord tucks into a hide-away compartment when you are not using the heat, which means the same bucket works in July, and it comes wrapped in a heavy duty anti-chew protector for the rest of the year.
The bail is heavy duty with reinforced connectors, and there is a spill free pour spout molded in for when you are dumping it out. It carries a one year warranty.
One habit worth keeping: plug it into a grounded outlet directly rather than running it off an extension cord. If you have to use one, make it a short, heavy gauge, three conductor cord rated for outdoor use.
