Description
The Classic Equine by Ritchie EZFount is the honest answer to a tank and float. It does the same job for less money, but with a real valve, a cover over the water and a hinged lid you can actually get into.
What makes it practical is the hookup. The EZFount runs off a basic 200 PSI garden or washing machine hose, so there is no trenching, no permanent water line and no waiting on a plumber. That makes it a good fit for a paddock you only use part of the year, a rented facility, or a spot where running a line is more trouble than it is worth.
The worry free float holds a steady level, and every surface slopes toward the drain, so cleaning it out takes a minute rather than an afternoon. It waters up to 20 head at a 24 inch drinking height.
One thing to be clear about: the EZFount is not insulated and not heated. It is built for warm weather and for seasons that stay above freezing. If you need water through winter, look at the AutoFount with a heat kit or the UltraFount, which comes heated.
A water meter is available separately if you want to track a horse's daily intake. The polyethylene carries a 10 year Ritchie warranty.
